Minority-Owned, Female-Owned & Environmentally Green

Meet Jan and Rob who purchased Freedom Hygiene in 2023 from a New Zealand couple, Kate and Peter who started the business back in San Rafael in 2005. Kate and Peter noticed how unsanitary bathrooms were in Northern California and decided to make a difference. Turns out, feminine hygiene can be a big mystery. Did you know that NASA once thought physicist and first American woman in space, Sally Ride needed 100 tampons for a week in space? Hint: 40 would have been more than enough.

When Jan and Rob took the leap, they wanted Freedom Hygiene to remain a symbol of high quality, safety, and impact. What they hoped to add was inclusivity and an eagle eye on environmental awareness - a service that worked behind the scenes to make a big difference with no fuss.
